Join us for our first event
This year has been full of firsts and milestones. Now we're hosting our very first on farm event! Proceeds from the event go directly to our next big farm purchases. Starting a farm isn't cheap and we can't do it without your help! So come enjoy amazing food and a fun farm atmosphere while helping us buy things like compost and shade cloth to keep us growing through the summer. We can't wait to show you what we've accomplished and what we're dreaming up next for this special place.

Hi! We're Amanda and Steven and we make up Zephyr Family Farm. We couldn't be more excited to be in our third year of brining you Certified Naturally Grown produce.
We’ve recently relocated to Person County, and into our forever farm!! We may have changed our location but our focus remains the same.
We grow southern heirlooms and crops that do well in our changing climate. This year we’ll grow at least 40 different types of produce through all 4 seasons.
We really focus on growing healthy soil, healthy plants follow. That means tilling as little as possible, adding organic matter like forest mulch, spent mushroom blocks and biochar, and using practices like crop rotation and cover cropping. This is our most effective way of managing our pest and disease pressures, and we've seen dramatic changes in soil health using these methods.

You can find us at the Western Wake Farmers Market in Morrisville on Saturdays from 8am till 12pm.
And now at Briar Chapel Farmers Market in Chapel Hill on Fridays 4-6.
